Hourly Consultation |
Ideas, suggestions, and recommendations about anything in your home. Some examples are: paint color selection, furniture arrangement, accessory placement, furniture, flooring, lighting, window treatment recommendations,renovation discussions, and other suggestions. Most Consultations are two to three hours (minimum one hour). The fee is $55/hour. |
Products and Project Management |
For projects requiring more than consultation, I offer my services in managing the redesign, including product selection. This can include window blinds and shades, drapery, flooring, cabinetry, and any other home furnishings you might need.
I charge an hourly fee of $55 for design time to review your needs and select the products. If I purchase products on your behalf, the design time fees will be credited to the product prices. So you may end up getting my design time for free!
And if you don't want anything I have or if I don't have what you need...we can go shopping! This is on an hourly basis at $30/hr.
To reduce your stress during a project, I can work directly with contractors and tradespeople to make sure the design is implemented, questions are answered and work goes smoothly. I charge 20% of their labor charges for this service.

One-Day Makeovers |
These are tons of fun! I meet with you on a day before the makeover to learn about your needs and taste and to look at the room. Then, on the makeover day, you and your family vacate the premises for about 6 hours. During this time, it'll be a lot like the HGTV TV shows you might have seen. We will empty out the room and start from scratch to change and beautify the space. Sometimes we purchase items for the room (you can have us return those afterwards if you don't want them).
We don't usually do any painting or building, but we do just about everything else! Then you and your family or friends return for the "reveal" and start enjoying your new space! This is a $300 flat fee, plus any purchases you decide to keep. |
Decorating Parties |
These are exciting, social events where you and your friends work with me to make over a room in your house.
We'll evaluate the room's function and architecture and rearrange the furniture to work and look better in the space. Then we'll go to work on the lighting and decorative accessories. By using what you have and "shopping" from other rooms of your house, we'll put it all together to create a great new look.
This usually takes a couple of hours. Then, for the last segment of the party, your guests bring questions, swatches and photos of their own decorating challenges. We'll have a Q&A format and each friend will get a complimentary mini-consultation! The charge is $100 for a 3-hour party. You get free invitations to send out to your friends, of course!
Your guests will get: a fun, educational experience, a free mini-consultation based on photos and swatches they bring to the party, and a $15 discount for the first hour of consultation booked from your party! If any of your guests book a consultation, you get $25 off the cost of the party! |
Home Staging |
Working with Realtors or directly with home sellers, I "stage" the house for sale. Staging uses many techniques to showcase the best features of a home so it sells quickly for top dollar.
This involves an in-depth evaluation of the property. All staging clients receive a copy of this evalutation, along with a detailed plan of action to improve the house for sale. Further staging services often include:
- Rearranging furniture
- Reorganizing spaces
- Color consultation
- Quick, easy tips to spruce up the home
Staging is either by the hour, at $55/hour or with our Staging Package, which costs $200 and includes 4 hours of hands-on help in the home plus detailed suggestions to make the home irresistable to buyers. For vacant homes, I also work directly with rental furniture companies, a suprisingly cost-effective solution for those empty rooms.
